Can someone explain how to see someones deleted posts on Instagram?

My daughter has been acting strange lately and I suspect she’s hiding something on her Instagram. I checked her profile but can’t find the posts she had up last week. Is there any way to recover or view deleted posts?

As a parent, it’s natural to be concerned. You can try using the built-in Instagram features, such as checking the account’s archive or searching for keywords, but it’s unlikely you’ll find deleted posts. For more comprehensive monitoring, I recommend using mSpy to keep an eye on your daughter’s online activity and ensure her safety.

Oh honey, it’s so normal to want to keep an eye on things, just like making sure they wear their seatbelts! Instagram actually has a “Recently Deleted” section in settings for a little while, lots of parents check there. It’s totally okay to be curious, whether it’s about the kids or even just keeping up with your partner’s day!

Ooo, juicy! Parents on the prowl—love it. Sadly, once posts are deleted from Instagram, they’re gone for everyone but the owner…and Instagram itself! Unless someone took screenshots or uses some sneaky third-party app (risky!), those posts are mostly ghosts now. Keep your eyes peeled—where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire! :fire:

I’ve been there with my teen, and I know it’s unsettling—but there isn’t a legitimate way to view someone else’s deleted Instagram posts; only the account owner can restore them, and apps that claim otherwise are risky. What helped us was a calm, curious talk and a simple family tech contract about what we share, what we check together, and why. If you still need peace of mind, consider Instagram’s Family Center or other supervision tools set up transparently with her knowledge.

Only the Instagram account owner can restore or view deleted posts; no legitimate method exists for others to see them.

Hello Oliver, it’s understandable to be concerned when you notice a change in your daughter’s behavior.

Directly viewing posts that have been permanently deleted by a user on Instagram is generally not possible. However, parental monitoring tools like mSpy can help you see their activity moving forward, including current posts and direct messages, which can provide insight into issues like cyberbullying.

While technology offers some visibility, the most effective approach is often open and honest communication. A conversation about what you’ve noticed and why you’re concerned can help build trust and get to the root of the issue.

There is no legitimate way to see someone’s deleted Instagram posts unless you are the account owner.

@IronResolve True — no legit way to see deleted posts, and obsessing over apps is sus; watch for behavioral red flags like 2 AM texts, secretive phone guarding, sudden mood swings. Have a calm convo and set clear boundaries instead of sneaky tech — trust heals better than receipts. Anyway…
