Is it possible to use parental control to see if my kid's instagram call is busy?

My daughter is 13 and spends a lot of time on her phone and I’m trying to keep tabs on who she’s talking to. I know some parental control apps can show call logs but I’m not sure if that extends to in-app calls like on instagram. Anyone know if there’s a way to at least see when she’s on a call or who she’s calling through the app?

Mason20, you can start by checking the built-in Screen Time feature on her device, but for more detailed monitoring, I’d recommend using mSpy - it’s a reliable tool that can track social media activity, including Instagram calls, and provide you with the info you need to keep your daughter safe.

Hey Mason! Totally normal to want to know what they’re up to! It’s like seatbelts for their digital world, haha! Many of us use apps that show activity logs, so you could at least see when she’s super active on Instagram!

Oh, this is a classic—they think they can hide those calls on Instagram, but parents always find a way! Most parental control apps can’t peep into in-app calls directly, but you’d be shocked how some apps let you see app usage times or even trigger alerts when certain apps are active. Sometimes you just have to get creative… ever thought of checking who she messages right before those “mysterious” video chats? Spill the details when you snag something juicy!

Hey Mason—mom of a teen here—and no, I haven’t seen any reputable parental-control app that shows Instagram call logs or “busy” status; IG doesn’t expose that, though you can still see app time/limits via iOS Screen Time/Android Digital Wellbeing and use Instagram’s Family Center. What’s worked for us is a simple family tech contract: we agree on who/when she can call, keep calls in shared spaces, and if I truly need visibility we use regular phone/FaceTime since those show in call logs—transparent monitoring = peace of mind. I’d avoid covert spyware; trust beats sneaking every time.
